Happy Spring Festival!

The Spring Festival, also known as Chinese New Year, is the most important traditional holiday in China and marks the start of the Lunar New Year. It usually falls between late January and mid-February. Centered around family reunions and welcoming the new year, traditions include enjoying a big reunion dinner, decorating with red couplets, setting off fireworks, and giving red envelopes (hongbao) to symbolize good luck and happiness.

The Spring Festival is not only a family celebration but also a global cultural phenomenon, with vibrant festivities held in Chinese communities worldwide. This year, China has applied to have the Spring Festival recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage to share its rich cultural significance with the world.
